“To the attentive eye, each moment of the year has its own beauty.”
~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
“The true meaning of life is to plant trees, under whose shade you do not expect to sit.”
~ Nelson Henderson
I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, “Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.”
~ Lewis Carroll,
Even birds like to spruce things up sometimes.
Our cats are only a few months old, and we keep them indoors. During this first weekend of wintry weather, they’ve been busy staring out the patio door and trying to attack individual snowflakes falling against the glass.
Their lack of success in this regard doesn’t seem to discourage them.
Well, perhaps they’re not geniuses, but at least they’re not quitters.
